The ultimate luxury, the Faro of Capospartivento is located in one of the most fascinating and
uncontaminated areas of Sardinia, the protected marine area of Chia. It is one of the 20 Royal
Lighthouses of Italy, entirely built with granite stone by King Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia in 1856. It
has been completely refurbished according to the strictest standards and using only natural raw
materials and clean energy sources (solar panels and photovoltaic systems) with the purpose of
preserving its architectural value. At the same time all waste is recycled and treated thanks to the
latest technologies. The Faro is located on top of a rocky promontory affording a 360° view of several
kilometres of Sardinian coast.
Inside the Faro you are firstly welcomed by a wide open space. A spiral stone stairway first leads you
to the library and down to the wine cellar (previously a cistern) and then climbs up to the panoramic
terrace located on the roof, right next to the lighthouse itself. The interiors’ style alternates modern
design with vintage furniture collected all over the world together with Murano glass lightings. At the
front, the property includes an infinity pool, a huge teak-floored terrace, a fully furnished lounge area
and Jacuzzi, all hanging over the cliff. The back of the lighthouse features a typical Mediterranean
garden with century-old olive trees, endemic bush and eight gazebos. The lighthouse rises on the most
southern tip of Sardinia and is still serving its original purpose
